About The Artwork
The Lake Twins are identical mirror twins who work collaboratively. Mirroring is particularly significant to their practice because it is one of the greatest defining features between themselves, one is left-handed and the other is right-handed. They are particularly interested in making drawings, films and text based works centring on their mirrored identity and an apparent psychological bond between themselves. Recent work explores their curiosity concerning the unspoken intimacy between them, what they perceive to be a unified consciousness.
