About The Artwork
Autobiographical, interactive installation. This piece is about sexual predators & our perception of comfort & trust. The audience are invited to sit on the chair & look through the children's Book ('Twilight Tales', which has been edited by me) I wanted to create a place which we are all familiar with..The Lounge, somewhere we should feel comfortable..however on a closer inspection the audience realises that it is not such a comfortable place and that something seems terribly wrong. There are lots of subtle hints here in the form of fine art photographs of a 'pig-faced-man' on the walls, broken doll,spilt drinks, cigarette butts laying around, crayon on the walls & stains on the floor, walls & chair....all these items representing neglect.
