About The Artwork
One day, I saw a dead bouquet of flowers on my table. I was fascinated by its beauty, an appearance unlike anything else I've seen in a dead or dying entity. It occurred to me, positioning flowers, of different types, along with other objects like sea-shells, could be absolutely gorgeous. So I primed a canvass and set about arranging flowers given to me by friends. I sealed it with acrylic drip paint and glue. It worked, and I sold a piece to a woman celebrating her Mom's 70th. It included a line from a poem she adored. People seemed to appreciate the 3-d component of it and there are many who understand the elegance that lies in a dead bouquet (when arranged well).

As of today (December 26, 2023) I am 63 years old. I have been painting since 1995, when I was 35. Similarly, I am the founder of a Jewish humanitarian organization called Ve'ahavta. We have helped the homeless and impoverished in Toronto and surrounding areas and assisted those in medical needs in places like Zimbabwe and Guyana. I am a writer, and a teacher and student of spirituality. I also host and produce podcasts (The Avrum Rosensweig Show), and my greatest gift, is my son.
