The work speaks of the human being and the ecosystem, it is a depiction of the containment we must adopt in order to live in balance with the environment. The ecosystem, a fragile organism, is changing, triggering defence mechanisms that are dangerous for life on earth. A liveable future consists of becoming aware of the danger of our actions by embarking on a path of social development that can lead us towards a more sustainable future. The installation is made up of objects and materials that stimulate the observer's perception of the concept. Inside the iron and Plexiglas case used to convey the dangerousness and importance of the meaning is a polyurethane foam representation of humanity, the straitjacket used to restrain patients suffering from psychiatric illnesses is made up of three straps on each limb representing the three social classes, while the seven straps on the central body symbolise the seven continents, and finally the chains symbolise submission and slavery.

Federico Bernardi was born in Vittorio Veneto in 2000 and grew up in Premaor di Miane (TV), a small village of about 500 inhabitants located in the Prosecco hills. At the age of 16 he left his studies to approach the world of work, pursuing his passion for drawing until the need to express himself overcame the formality of the pencil and met the informality of abstractionism. His artistic research stems from a deep need for expression that tends to analyse the self in order to understand past and present issues, feelings, emotions and human relationships. The study he applies to his productions stems from a psychological self-analysis with which he begins to shape the volume and intensity of the subject matter. The choice of colours matures with research into the stimuli and reactions they transmit to our brain, linked to the energy released by the use of dripping in action painting.
