Description: A Hundred Years, consists of Visual Journal, a 100 foot long scroll, Sacrifice, a toddler bed/reliquary, and two wall hangings: Scream and Counting.Visual Journal: a 100 foot long scroll made from toilet paper for the most part and is mixed media. It was made during my sons deployment in Iraq. I make things from toilet paper because we sent it to my son in Ira on a regular basis. It seems to refer to the value put on soldiers and Iraqi civilians by the United States government. It is also fragile and skin like, which is a human quality.Sacrifice: a toddler bed that could have been considered a table, or a reliquary. The mattress: sandwiched between two Plexi-Glass platforms and was made from dozens of old collages

I make installtions from toilet paper. We sent toilet paper to my son when he was deployed in iraq. I feel using this medium conveys the lack of respect for human life by governments and institutions and its visual qualities are skin like and fragile, which refers to humanity.
