Behind the curtain Artwork

Merna El-Mohasel Born in 1974 in Tripoli, Libya. 1984 through the detour Jordan to Germany, removed six years ago to Graz. I was influenced by two strong cultures the ones of Islam and the one of Christianity. The road to artistic expression, I found on the Photography which accompanies me since I was 14. When I realized that my language can't express the way I feel and think, and because I felt lonely, I learned to express myself through my camera, to communicate with, gave the people the chance to understand me. Now and again I'm enjoying the solitude and I share it out loud with. My first photos I have made with my analog Nikon F-301 and a Nikkor 135mm f 1.8. With it, I mostly black and white photographies have made. From developing the images till through to the drafting was a self-educative process. The word came about 10 years ago on my photos. They do not explain this. The word sometimes emphasizes the content of the displayed or stands on its own. With the word, and now with the music I try to present my passions in a complete work. My photos should be a stimulus to think, dream and relax. Not only by the resulting image, but also by the experience. An elaborated photo is always for me similar to a small birth of the mind, free to go in this world, after concluding the "experience" process, just to make room for a new ones. Because I always work the way I feel, changed my handwriting not noticeably. It became just solid and digital. Today I am working, but not exclusively digitally, cause I still use my beloved Nikon.
