About The Artwork
This project is at what I consider the start of my practice. I constructed a 1:1 scale replica of myself, complete with a face cast in wax. I took measurements of all of my body parts and faithfully rebuilt my structure. On a cold autumn night I set myself on fire and destroyed several weeks of work. I was constructed of wire, papier mache, paraffin wax, hand-worked copper and prairie grass.
