As always, the countryside has been my favourite haunt for one of those long hours of meditation inspired walking trips. Today as I set out very early in the morning there was not even the first few faint glimmers of daylight trying to slip in silently to replace the darkness that surrounded us.
Now earlier the previous evening I had watched a late-night movie on the television and my mind's eye was rolling around like some fertile whirlpool of ghostly vampires and those were the gleaming eyes of the werewolves lurking in the background.
Just then I noticed that since it was summer there was absolutely no chill in the air and the fact that it still being dark some fireflies continued to flit around with their little lights merrily twinkling. So in a way it wasn't difficult for me to slip into that mood of fantasy dreams. Now my imagination no more saw some little fireflies flitting around but, were the gleaming eyes of a werewolf that was waiting to pounce upon me but keeping them at bay and protecting me from being savaged was the oval shield of the light beam from my electric torch.
What wonderful shivers of frightening anticipation crawled down my spine while at the same time giving rise to a desire to put this feeling in an image on paper. What other media was better than this new form of digital multiple print.
Limited edition of 6 prints + 1 artist's proof

About The Artwork

As always, the countryside has been my favourite haunt for one of those long hours of meditation inspired walking trips. Today as I set out very early in the morning there was not even the first few faint glimmers of daylight trying to slip in silently to replace the darkness that surrounded us. Born 1954 India Now have my art studio in Angers in France.Have been painting and etching for more than 25 years. My inspiration comes from my working experience with S.W.Hayter and other contemperory artists like Krishna Reddy. Now do mainly digital works like painting and printmaking. For this I have developed a new form of new media prints using digitalized technique and maroufled onto a heavy art paper of at least 300 gms. After the transfer by marouflage of the printed artwork onto the heavy art paper it is once again worked on by the artist to obtain the art effect and printed in a limited edition of 8 prints + 1 artist's proof, with signature and number. The paintings also are digital works on art paper that has been maroufled onto a canvas that is signed by me. All work is done by me in my personal art studio in Angers in France. The work is mostly inspired from my ramblings in the countryside and the sensation or feelings thus produced which I try to share with the spectators of my works.
