This painting entitled "Waterline" shows a woman seated on a blue surface which one might think is a thin sheet of water, which would explain the reduced reflection on the ground. Strange position, almost absurd, because the naked body of the model seems to float on the water without sinking in the slightest. Particularity of this painting: the blue of the ground and of this waterline which separates the liquid support from the aerial void is entirely provided by the acrylic paint: it is absent from the digital file (see photo #2) This painting is made in mixed technique on canvas. It combines photography, digital art and acrylic painting, with a dozen layers of glaze and raised squares that bring vibration to the surface of the glossy canvas. This is a unique piece, it comes with a certificate of authenticity. The painting is framed in black wood (total dimensions: approximately 36 x 26 x 3.5 cm)

« In the age of digital technologies, I couldn't just be a painter or a photographer. My 'paintographies' bring down borders between techniques and offer a resolutely contemporary hybrid art. » I was born in 1975 in a small town in the French countryside and arrived in Paris in 1992 for my studies (History, English and literature). I have been a professional artist since 2007, with over 60 exhibitions across France and Europe. My artistic approach is both simple and complex. Although my work portrays a figurative aesthetic that favors clarity, it does so through a complex blending of photography, digital art, and acrylic painting. The result is a mixed technique I call ‘paintography’. My compositions highlight the fragility of the human body. I transform my model into virtual sculptures by replacing their skin with mineral materials to represent the passage of time.
