About The Artwork
Triptych “THE LAST HUMAN MOTHER AND BABY” by the young Ukrainian artist Yulia Belyaeva, inspired by thoughts about the probability of the Apocalypse and post-apocalyptic world. Using amazing innovation, the virtual reality glasses Oculus, Julia has created a 3-D world of hers art-works. In this work virtual reality glasses brings the viewer into a wild environment where there is no society. This kind of isolation of consciousness from what comes from the outside. But there is still this haunting feeling that it's a substitute, a surrogate. The work is also about the fact that the digital world is limited, and infinitely repeatable. We all spend a lot of time in social networks.
