21 Painting

Rembrandt painted/drew almost 100 self-portraits probably because he didn't have many commissions and he wanted to keep his fingers warm, practice on his beloved work. I don't take commissions and I'm not thinking of self-portraiture. I paint what I see in real life and online, in terms of images and stories. I try not to become a "moment artist" painting migrants drowning in the blue Mediterranian waters. But it's difficult to detach oneself from the feelings the present generations radiate around them. I try to add some optimism or jokes in my paintings. Sometimes I manage, sometimes less so. 21 is the age when many fall from their blue skies and hit the dirt of reality. Whichever that is, for very few it has singing birds in cherry trees in blossom. Oil on canvas 40x60cm Processing/posting within 3 days after payment.
