About The Artwork
The painting has been inspired by my visit to Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima island and climbing the sacred peaks of Mount Misen. The 3 Shinto deities enshrined there are the goddesses of seas and storms - thus the Ocean theme of the Painting.
