Abigail & Terence Painting

I am a Singapore-based mixed media artist, photographer and curator. Originally from Moscow, Russia, I have lived in Singapore for the last 10 years. My work aims to awaken a heightened awareness of the interconnectedness of nature and human world, addressing burning ecological issues and promoting ideas of equality. In my art practice, I follow principles of sustainability in art, incorporating recycling and charity initiatives. My Art aesthetics are characterised by bold colour combinations, repetitive patterns, and distinctive portraits that blend figurative style with elements of Magic Realism, Art Nouveau and Pop Art. Across my practice I employ multiple techniques such as mixed media painting, collage, digital and film photography, as well as AI. Each painting tells a story, serving as a metaphorical fragment of my life, capturing moments from past, present or future and symbolising my personal evolution. Driven by a desire to bring positivity and joy to the viewer, I intentionally introduce playful elements and use vibrant colours. We can’t change most of the things in the crazy world we live in, but we can provide light, turn negative into positive.
