About The Artwork
Actaeon is from the Greek myth of the mortal Actaeon accidentally stumbling upon the Goddess Artemis ( goddess of wild animals and childbirth) and her maidens bathing while he was hunting deer. Artemis saw him and transformed him into a deer, whereupon his hunting dogs hunted him down and killed him. I liked the use of powerful Greek mythological storytelling and how they gave meaning to the world around them.
