About The Artwork
Buzz around the competition was that their exquisite jazz hands put them on top of the podium. I try to prompt a smile or a chuckle with my work, both for my viewers and for myself during the painting process. I really had a great time with this one! I use a flat and colorful style, along with outlines creating a loose, graphic image. This painting takes me back to the 1980s fitness industry, which I think is hilarious. This piece's edge is painted red. Hanging hardware is installed.
