Come without warning, leave without leaving a trace. Every October, the alitta (sandworms) silently appear when the ocean tide pushes the brackish water in the river into the fields. The worms happily jump up to perform the dance of love dance, the females lay eggs, and the males follow and ejaculate. They come in all colors: blue, red, brown, yellow, flying around creating a party of colors.
