About The Artwork
The field hospital, the meeting point of men in battle for life. We have a red curtain of one hundred thousand amputated limbs in one corner of the scene. Lying on that table there is a guest, the barelliere patched him on the field but it was not enough. That leg is a necessary loss, you can't win without deaths it's the deepest and oldest law of war. Three parts of the self are represented: the wounded captain, the soldier who holds him and reassures him and cuts him.

- Angelo Troilo was born in 1996 in Padua. - Lives and works in Arquà Petrarca (IT). - He attended an art institute where he was inspired by graffiti with Basquiat and Banksy. - He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and later moved to the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna where he is still attending. - He recently participated at the Biennial of Contemporary Art in Montrouge (FR), an exhibition that will tour Europe.
