About The Artwork
“Archival of our Journey” is a glimpse into one's life experiences. I a m looking to inspire introspection and evoke memories of the past. Through the process of image formation, such as lines, texture, marks and scrapings, the I strive to symbolize the human condition and create awareness of compassion. By using contrasting colors of deep red and blue, I am further emphasis the pain of sorrow and the hope for rejuvenation through the top brightness of the blue. The painting is signed on the back and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The artist coats her work twice with UV Archival Varnish to protect the painting and places felt pads on the back to protect the wall. The artwork is on a 1.5" canvas and all four sides are painted and ready to hang.

I am an abstract painter expressing my work by exploring the relationship between nature and our environment. Using dialogue between the two can be my best source of inspiration. The tactility of multiple textures and building of layers, are the backbones of my pieces. The severity of the elements can age and weather and create the most interesting designs. The distressed look of patina on metal and dilapidating walls intrigues me by their abstract surfaces and patterns. These textures and layers give depth and dimension to my paintings and are common elements in all my series. I currently live and work in the Berkshires on Western Massachusetts.
