Flowers are an endless inspiration and source of beauty. Among other they are emblems of beauty, perfection, purity, joy and of the hidden 'seeding-place' within ourselves. (Taken from The Book of Symbols: Reflections On Archetypal Images by the Archive for Research in Archetypal Symbolism, 2010) I imagined a dreamlike scene of falling flowers. A moment in time, eternalised. Subjects explored in the creation of this painting are: awakening, changes, fantasies, dreams, passing, melancholy, beauty.
