About The Artwork
I'm perpetually inspired by the Sonoran Desert where I grew up, and it continually seeps into my work. Saguaro cacti stand proud for hundreds of years as sentinels of the desert, guarding all who live under the black hill. This painting was a lot of fun. I stretched it myself, and the canvas has a rougher texture that was a lot of fun to paint on. The unique proportions of this painting make it ideal for hanging in those weirdly narrow areas between rooms, in a corner, or an entryway.
