Here is a study in contrasts: the female musicians in this abandoned room. Bizarre concerto is a one of a kind original work of art. It is produced using India ink and acrylic paint on 5 mil archival grade mylar. I have stayed with my usual pallet of warm “earthy” colors. I only sell original work so there will only be one original. The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. In this painting, the background has been digitally reproduced and laminated to the 5 mil archival grade mylar and then the portrait of the violinists in the foreground was painted over the background. This painting will be ready to hang, out of the box. It will be mounted on tempered masonite with a one inch border all around and a dark grey 1.5” wide wooden frame. This is a "floating" type of frame. See the photos for details. It will have a hanging strip on the back and I include a “monkey hook” for easy attachment to your wall. It can be on your wall within five minutes.

I am an architect by education, and profession. I have practiced architecture for over three decades. A good deal of my experience as an artist developed from doing architectural plans and illustrations. In addition to my architectural work, I have always enjoyed producing works of "visual art". It has provided a wonderful counterpoint to the precise work involved in architectural drawings: the highly precise vs. the "free and spontaneous". I still work with the same media that I have used in architectural work: India ink, graphite pencil and acrylic paint on archival quality mylar film. I like for my work to show either emotion or action.... Occasionally both. Emotion is usually captured in a close-up portrait or perhaps full figure drawings. Action is depicted in dance or sporting events. Other than that, I don't have any deep philosophical ideas about my art except that I want to produce works that people will enjoy and be proud to have hanging on their walls.
