BlueBoat Painting

Mysteriously docked in the port was a blue boat that came into view rather quickly. It was not really in good condition, as if it had just been left there for a long time, but it didn't look like any modern boat. Intrigued, I walked closer to get a better look. There was something about the movement of the blue sidings that caught my eye. I had never been able to capture the essence of a boat in my paintings, but I was determined to try. I set up my easel not too far from the docks, where I could watch it swing then began to paint, starting with the outline of the hull. No sails billowing in the breeze for this one, just that bombastic blue cut by flying cables. The more I painted, the more I felt myself getting lost in the scene. Didn't notice the time passing, or perhaps the few passerbyers, nothing else mattered.
