Brazilian bird. Araripe Soldier The Araripe soldier is the only endemic (exclusive) bird in Ceará (obs. People Weber Girão and Ciro Albano), being considered one of the five most endangered species of Ceará fauna in the official Brazilian list of 2003 (MMA / Ibama), where it is classified as “Critically Endangered”, receiving the same status by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (BirdLife International 2004) in its list of species that are globally threatened with extinction.
