About The Artwork
This is a bold graphic painting in mixed media on linen depicting the beautiful ski slopes of Breckenridge, Colorado. It was a great experience being Artist in Residence at The Tin Shop, a program sponsored by the Town of Breckenridge. I stayed about a month in mid-winter. There was a horse-drawn sleigh that would go past my studio door each day. I had not heard that sound since I was a child in Vermont. This painting expresses the joy and wonder I felt in the deep winter in the heart of the Rockies with snow, snow and more snow.
