About The Artwork
Medium: oil on canvasYear Created: 2010 It's one of the first in series Calotipista inspired by Henry Fox-Talbot's photography technique and the painting "Les Alyscamps" by Gaugin. The tema is about two views on Road to Future. The one wirh black shadows and sparkling light on the end (metal particles really reflect the sparkling light) and the other, through the yellow curtain as a personal filter. The painting announces the "Exodus", a 3.4 m tall awarded painting which I've painted later.

Born in 1958 in Prekmurje, Slovenia, lives and works in Ljubljana. In abstract art he was researching spacial and time parameters of color, emotional impact of colored surfaces. Series called "Calotipista" was dedicated to the pioneers of photography, recent paintings were influenced by themes from sociology and mass media research.
