Scott Simon was born in Chicago, and evolved in Venice,CA. He enjoys all types of art, especially Lowbrow, Pop, and Graffiti. Sensitive to criticism he is a self taught artist, "I didn't want art school to turn my passion into a job." Scott set to express his new insights and feelings into the form of art. He painted everything from warehouse walls, wood, canvas and settling on metal as his material of choice. "I use acrylics, acids, and rust inhibitors, I like the way rust has a mind of its own." "I paint and rust metal capturing the images in a thick coat of resin." "I paint what I feel, not what I see." I feel a certain sadness in everything....it's just the way I'm put together." "I bring that sadness to life and for one small moment I feel better."
