People, myself included, say "I just love Charleston!" and I really do. This is a scene from near the historical Battery, just image yourself living in one of those exquisite mansions there. The floral fragrance of the gardens, the columns, exquisite ironwork, styles and craftsmanship is a feast for the historian and visual person alike. The painting style is impressionist as it reflects a bit of daydreaming wistfulness. This painting was a delicious delight to see ideas come together with each stroke into reality. The framing is unique. The wood frame is painted off white shabby chic with a genuine iron work inset and really complements the art and says "Charleston".
