About The Artwork
Inspired by Oregon landscape, in particular Coburg, a small town north of Eugene. The Coburg Hills are a wild, very natural area of rolling hills just outside of Eugene. People traveling on Highway I-5 pass the City of Coburg (exit) and then "the hills" become complex and overlapping, with deep mysterious shadows and forms. I very much like this texture of hills and pastures and hidden area that appear and then disappear and one moves north. Oils are my favourite medium. Exhibited widely in Italy: Rome, Milan, Bologna, Florence, Terni, etc. A professional educator, taught full-time at Lane Community College for over 25 years and worked as a manager for Lane County Regional Information System.
