Ooh, the blues in this mixed media painting are gorgeous. And that touch of red! You wouldn't believe the texture -- there's actual concrete on the canvas. And SO much mark making. The "black waters" flowing across the lower portion of the painting give it just the right movement. The painting's dynamism is balanced by the almost ethereal calmness of its paler regions, making it a visually intriguing and emotionally evocative composition. You can see a rich texture and a complex layering of colors and shapes. There's a sense of controlled chaos in the composition; patches of paint, scribble-like lines, and various dabbed elements contribute to a sense of depth and movement across the canvas. This 1.5" deep canvas comes wired and ready-to-hang. The edges are painted black. Framing isn't necessary, but it sure adds a nice finished touch to your decor.
