I was determined to create an image of a skull that didn't conjure thoughts of mortality and death. I instead wanted to paint a skull in order to capture the beauty of its form, and intricacies, and the attributes that make it fascinating. I also painted the skull in hopes of reminding people that under the skin of every human being is the same—the skull. This study of the human skull was one I plan on repeating in future. Mixed media on paper mounted on board.
