Through this new phase of poetics and evolution, Marco Angelini works literally on the "shape of words", used not only as "signifiers" but particularly as visual and sign-like elemental components: graphemes freed from their phonic bond. Translated into shapes and colours, words are elected real contribution/essence to the graphic composition of the piece.

Marco Angelini was born in Rome, Italy on 5th June 1971. Having studied Sociology at University, Marco continues to pursue his interest in people and cultures by traveling. His aim is to find the links between specific cultural traditions and the effect that technology has had on their environment, specifically modern urban societies. He employs a variety of different media in his artwork, experimenting with recycled material, metals and plastics on canvases.
