This painting refers to the cognitive dissonance that most of us experience nowadays. We frequently find ourselves involved in situations that contradict our beliefs, values, religion, status, comfort, etc. and tend to cause a high level of imbalance in our life. Due to this, the number of people that tends to hide it because of guilt, shame, etc is continuously increasing. Some of them experience feelings of anxiety to behavioral and mental disorder. My painting comes in red tones as an alarming message to stay true to yourself. The message can be perceived in different ways - as a feeling of protection, rejection or avoiding conflicting information / as hiding and behaving is all ok while you still feel restrained in your circle or society / your own feeling towards it.
