"distance is what we want from you" - Brent geese (Banta bernicla), distributed across the Northern hemisphere. Very large numbers over-winter on the coast in my region (East Anglia in the UK): these are mainly the dark-bellied subspecies, which breeds in arctic Russia. Oil on board, 51x68cm. March 2024.
