About The Artwork

Dracula's Bride was created for a themed exhibition on mystery and horror. But I had a long time in mind this Bride of Dracula, given my interest in cinema and horror literature in general and on vampyres in particular. The beautiful fabric of the dress is Art Nouveau, and on the head of exotic flowers, but absolutely real and wich are called bat-flowes. I turned away from me the wonderful bride of the film dracula of Coppola, and I tried to use a very different range of colors, and to suggest rather than represent the encounter with the Vampyre. The small marks on the neck and the canine that can be glimpsed between the parted lips are the discreet indications of becoming the vampyre of the beautiful bride, and they must be sought not being extremely visible.
