This work was exhibited at the Jardim of Prejudice exhibition in Setúbal, Portugal. I have been studying the body and movement as a professional dancer, and then as a women's yoga teacher since 2014; therefore, my works now convey my personal, subjective view of body image and women's roles. I explore the concept of the body as a container for our true selves and question widely accepted ideas of what a woman should be. My heroines are not beautiful in the traditional sense of the word. They are ordinary, but their ordinariness is the essence. Each of my works is a study of my own behavioral patterns and fears. I strive for the viewer to see not only the image but also feel the emotional experience in every work.

I use oil paints, clay, thread, and graphic materials to express an idea in my art. I extensively use repeating patterns and bright colors, maintaining ease and simplicity in my work.
