About The Artwork
Most recently I feel my work has been expressing movement and transience. This piece was started a year and a half ago and remained in dormant and feeling unfinished until recently. I finally feel I was able to resolve it whilst thinking about personal transition and movement in my own life. The name Drift comes from the natrual process continental drift. A word and process which is both calm and slow moving yet sometimes violent and destructive. This piece shares a name and holds a simlar concept to a painting of mine form 2015
