About The Artwork
El Rey de los cocuyos (Cocuyo´s King) Was inspired by cuban firewood. Pyrophorus is a kind of polyphagous beetles in the family Elateridae. They are bioluminescent (they produce cryoluminescent light, since they emit almost no extra heat to produce light) just like fireflies. Pretty famous on the culture of country, personally. Are conected with with my Father work. Colors, shapes and his frontal view, make possible pass inside eyes and take part of him as a tryp. A flying one. Like any given night on cubans fields.
