About The Artwork

Renewal, rebirth and balance The Equinox Ceremony marks the transition from winter to spring on March 21st and summer to fall on September 21st. These seasons hold the symbol of birth and death respectively. Another interesting interpretation of the equinox is that the perfect alignment of the sun and the earth represents balance. As a result of that alignment, some believe that on this day everything is in equilibrium and therefore it is the day that we have the greatest potential to transcend ourselves, be free of prejudice and act in commitment to fairness. The title is also a nod to the personal challenges we face in daily life and our need for healing. In this series I also use titles like: Fictional battles names or Pilot logbook numbers, The Pilot logbook is a record of a pilot’s flying hours. It contains every flight a pilot has flown, including flight time, number of landings, and types of instrument approaches made. I use these titles as a metaphor of the different events in our daily life and simple geometrical shapes and secret poems written with a self-created calligraphy developed by me.
