Escape Painting

I am an Architect & Urban designer and I paint in my free time. Although I have been painting loosely over the years, I haven’t taken it seriously until about two years ago and the last few months have given me some time to paint regularly. I studied Architecture at art school, always surrounded by art and artists. Extensive drawing in school and at work and integration of aesthetics in architecture inspired me to pick up a paintbrush again. I paint Abstract and Landscape paintings with acrylic and oil on canvas and paper. Most of my inspiration comes from nature and the native California landscape. Abstract paintings are influenced by the built environment that’s what I do for a living. I also love for viewer to extract their meaning from abstracts.
