Ethereal Rythms 4 Painting

35 years ago, I first studied Fine Art in Ireland, at the CCAD. Then it was colour that fascinated me. I lost myself in big atmospheric paintings, just because they were made of colour. Texture is a recent passion. Back then, conceptual art was the Zeitgeist that was being honed and explored. There really was no room for the traditional methods of drawing and painting. But that is was what I wanted. In 2014 I went back to University, and in 2017 I completed a BA Illustration Degree, at Plymouth University. Then, 2018 saw me return back to the land I was born in, Germany. Since then I have illustrated books, have had several exhibitions, both in Germany and the UK. I paint or create as the mood takes me. A body of work can call me to its attention in either abstract, representational or print form. I am very much inspired by Picasso for this, he was a genius who worked in many techniques. To do so, is one of my pleasures in life, that fact that I can and want to.Life is too short to fit into one boxed drawer or other!
