About The Artwork
As a former art teacher the images of Halloween were my favorite motifs: orange and black, ghosts, pumpkins and simple earthy materials, vegetable, wood, cloth, a hint of a moon, leaves, bare trees, owls, crows, witches, no blood, maybe a bone or two, even a Dracula . All very PG, I believe Halloween should introduce children to death in a subtle way minus it's horrors. I managed to get a few of these items in this painting, plus a favorite yard decor dog, a log house, a turkey (thanksgiving is looming) and a transitional pumpkin man nut cracker.
