Oil on linen 101x126x2cm (39.8x49.6x0.8in) 2016 Commission, private collection, Vigevano, IT This painting is the result of a commission I received from a family which run a popular fish restaurant. They asked me to paint a family portrait and I suggested them a situation which could be both classic, inspiring and ironic. Here you can see the youngest of the family who try and grab a lobster while the rest of the family pose for the picture. The fact attracts the attention of her mum, whose look is diverted from the camera. I managed the project from photo shoot to post-production details. Here you can see the result.

In my paintings I focus on figures and their interaction with the landscape and architecture. After spending some years being very faithful to the samples, I am now experimenting different styles of painting and alternating portraits (mainly commissions) with sperimental artworks. Also, I am increasingly taking advantage of image editing softwares in pre-production to find the best colours and lights for the painting. I use oil colours both on wood and linen. All the materials used in the artworks are high quality, from hand primed canvas (by myself, using a classic method that prevents from aging and deterioration) to colours.
