Fear Painting

More and more uploading to the Internet and non-verbal communication, our emotions take on a different image. People extrapolate their personality into iconic symbols and look for ways to understand and interact with each other through emoji pictures. Do we lose an essential human compassion while passing into a new image of the digital self? The artist depicted her apple emoji fear avatar in oil on canvas using the classic figurative Fine Art technique. The image is pixilated so that the viewer can get closer to the inner sense of the self of her fear of the unknown or danger. Epochs replace each other, but the philosophical questions of life and existence remain the same. Here we can replace the light reminder of the painting, the cry of Edvard Munch.
