About The Artwork
Fifty Dollar Flash is a series that I chose to explore in a time when I am feeling more interested in the idea of giving myself tattoos, exploring themes and meanings behind traditional tattoo motifs. Taking traditional tattoo subjects (snake, knives, etc) and placing them into scenes on canvas I have, in a way, "soothed the beast" and held off on buying a tattoo gun... for now.

Living and working in Philadelphia, PA since 2006. Since a young age I was always encouraged by my family to pursue art but it wasn't until my junior year at Hussian School of Art ( a college for graphic design and advertising) that I met a painting instructor who questioned my reasons for studying design and steered me to "paint everyday no matter what it takes". Since my graduation in 2012 I have had a number of exhibitions in Philadelphia, recently leading to my first solo exhibition in NYC.
