What a time I've had, the last 2-3 weeks. The second snow storm, in January, caused me to lose my landline and internet. Bell couldn't be bothered to get me going again. Did you know that Bell owns your internet address and can delete everything, including all your contacts, overnight, if you, as a "loyalty" customer - since university in my case - decide to leave the bosom of the bi*ch? After several days of waiting for aid I jumped ship to Virgin (which btw is much cheaper than Bell, even though it's owned by Bell. More on that later). Remember it was -23 celsius, with the wind chill, and Toronto was in total lockdown - no cafes to borrow wifi. I was in a difficult situation because I was waiting for some diagnostic news from my doctor. And no, I haven't had a cell phone since Mom left me, so I was up the creek. More on that later as well. I've been very busy dealing with bad, and worse news since December rolled in, but not half as bad as some people have on a daily basis, so, I am optimistic and creative as hell....as usual. Here, as a result, is a new painting. The first of three I think, called "Finding Ophelia". It will be the story of the afterlife of a drowned girl. It's not gigantic - only 30" X 40" on a deep 2" canvas. Oil of course. This one is close to done.
