The flame-throated bulbul is the State Bird of Goa, a popular international tourist destination in India, where the artist was residing at the time this painting was created. The painting is a whimsical take on the musical bird, with the fruits and leaves of a sapota ("chickoo" in the local language) tree in the background. The painting was executed entirely in fine watercolor on acid-free Canson Montval paper. The painting will be shipped in a box without a frame or any hanging hardware.
