Her creativity has since taken over and she now enjoys many elements of the creative process whether it be through murals, teaching, live art, drawing, painting, and illustrating. Latesha is a self-taught and multi-faceted artist. Her love of drawing comes first, a meditative practice of connecting pencil to paper including the wonderful world of vivid inks, gouache, watercolour, pencils and mixed media. Her work is typically in colour, but other times stripped back to just the lead pencil and the subject at hand. Latesha’s current body of work explores the realm of fantasy and spirit, fusing in romantic beauty, beautiful spaces, eras gone by, all the while exploring themes of human consciousness through storytelling art.
