About The Artwork

This painting of the series „Blue“ is abstract and rely on many layers of color to represent the fascination of the sea and sky. I used different shades of blue to create a dynamic, moving mood that captivates the viewer. The different shades of blue blend together to create a landscape that is more than the sum of its parts. From the deep, impenetrable blue of the sea, to the vibrant, luminous blue of the sky and the delicate pastel tones of the sunset. I see the sea and the sky not just as objects, but as a powerful and moving force represented in every brushstroke and application of paint. I painted "Forward ever 4" in 2023, it has several layers of acrylic paint on canvas, furthermore I have drawn into it with graphite pencils as well as worked various materials into it. The painting is stretched over professionally made wooden stretcher bars, the sides are painted so the art work is ready to hang.

The signature is on the back.

In my artistic work I am concerned with the sensitization of perception. I am not interested in the depiction of representational, but in the surface texture and the colors of everyday things and nature. In the process of perception, the viewer experiences his own active role in the respective mediation between imagination and immediate seeing. He can mentally complete incomplete forms, can discover the self-similarities in nature. I experience the concentration on the proximity as a liberating detachment from the profane and seemingly concrete.
