About The Artwork
The concept expresses the desire to represent the freedom of women to be themselves without external restrictions, suggesting that this requires not only the absence of external limitations but also the ability to free oneself from societal judgments and expectations to define one's own identity and individual freedom. This means that true freedom entails being able to look beyond imposed boundaries and fully embrace who one is, without fear of being judged or limited by stereotypes or social conventions. This painting aims to remind myself primarily that, even though I grew up in a cultural context that still bears many remnants of the past (southern Italy), I can free myself from them and become what I desire. This painting is made with high-quality acrylic colors and canvas. The canvas has such thickness that it can be displayed even without a frame. The painting is also sealed with UV protection.
