About The Artwork
This is a mixed media painting which was inspired by a discarded construction item. It consisted of a rectangular object with moulding in the shape of two windows covered in a canvas type fabric. I was immediately reminded of windows in my top floor apartment which had a very similar shape. I brought it upstairs and basically painted the scene which was visible from my double windows. There is a small fence type structure to suggest the fire escape outside.
